The Smoke

I reached the Smoke today. Shay and David were waiting for me. I was very happy to see my friend again. It is interesting to see how everything in the Smoke is build with wood and rocks. While visiting a librairy, I made an interesting discovery: magasines of some uglies showing their bodies. Eww! They really looked like they were proud to look that repulsive. I guess that the Rusties had a very fifferent point of view of the world. I now have a job. My work is to collect metal.
Shay have talk to me about David. Apparently, his parents are Specials. What will happen if I activate the tracking device?

In the wild

I'm running. I am so far right now: Uglyville, New Pretty Town, the Ruins, it's so far away now. The Specials gave me an hoverboard and a bunch of supplies to survive the journey. I must find my way by following a serie of clues that Shay left me. I am starting to appreciate nature. It is so pure out there. Yesterday, I encountered a big flying machine and I were very affraid to be detected. There are still a lot of things that I don't understand but hopefully, I will reach the Smoke as soon as possible. There, I will activate the tracking device that Dr. Cable gave to me and I will finally be able to live a normal life.

I need to make a choice

I had a visit from Shay the other night. Quite disturbing I would say. I knew that she wasn't in favor of the operation but now, it has gone too far. She is leaving for a place called ''The Smoke''. She proposed me to come with her but I can't leave, I don't want to stay ugly for the rest of my life!
I was suppose to have my operation today. I have waited for hours until I got moved to another building to meet Dr. Cable from Special Circumstances. They told me that they needed my help to find Shay and the other ''Smokies''. Even tough I tried to tell them that I couldn't turn Shay to them, they didn't left me any choice. If I don't help them, I will never turn pretty. What am I gonna do?

Spending some time with Shay

Shay turns out to be a very nice person with whom I got very close. We discovered that we share the same birthday. Maybe it is just a coincidence but it will be great to turn pretty together. She taught me how to hoverboard. After several hours of practice, I became pretty good. One night, we did a trip to the Rusty Ruins passing by a big river. It was very frightening but I did it to the end. It was interesting to see the world of the Rusties at night. We went on something called ''Roller coaster'' with our hoverboard. At some point,  The tracks were stopping, leaving me in a frightfull free fall. I almost had a mini heart attack. Even is I was mad at Shay at the beginning, I appreciated my experience in the ruins. Before leaving, shay tried to call a guy. ''David, if i am not mistaken myself.  However, I had enough action in one night.

A New Friend

Aaahhh, the sight of New Pretty Town... I just can't wait to be there with my friend Peris and party all day long. Only three months before I turn sixteen and get my operation. No more ugly face, no more ugly friends.
Yesterday, I wasn't able to contain myself. I broke in a party filled with new pretties (Probably not the best idea I made in my life) . Even, if I was covering my face with a mask, they knew that something wasn't right and started chasing me. Fortunately, I met Perris there but he made me promise to do nothing stupid until I turn pretty myself. I want to be with him and I know that if I don't respect the rules, I might stay ugly for life. I must be carefull. When I left the party, I met a girl called Shay, an ugly that was hiding in the bushes. I think it will be great to have a new friend for the next months. I was starting to feel very lonely.
